Fall in Full Force

It's been a whirlwind couple of months since our last post and time just doesn't seem to slow down no matter how hard we try.  A quick snapshot: the kids are all settled into the new school year nicely; we survived the soccer and fall baseball seasons with three games every weekend;  an action packed Ninja Turtle-themed Halloween; and a wonderful trip to the South.  Busy busy but fun fun!  Here are some snaps for your eyeball's enjoyment starting with not one, but two trips to the Pumpkin Patch.

Beau might have had more fun off the field than on this season.

Baseball.  That smile says it all. 

Beau and Mimi decided (on a whim) to get up one Saturday morning and run a 5k 

just because they could.  Girl power!

Next stop Tennessee, Alabama and Mississippi.  

We had a great time road-tripping all over the South in October. 

Including a trip to the US Space and Rocket Museum in Huntsville, Alabama!

The endless cotton fields in bloom were a welcome sight.

Super quick pit stop to have lunch with Uncle Grant in Collierville, TN.

No trip to the South is complete without a visit to Old Taylor Grocery 

for some catfish and hush puppies. 

The littlest cousins reunited for the first time in over a year.  Sweet buddies.

We had a nice family lunch following a sweet service honoring Gigi at her church.  

This restaurant was unforgettable for many many reasons. 

We had a lot of fun spending the afternoon at Gigi's house looking thru her mementos 

and sharing a good laugh. 

Grandmother and Ginga found a missing pouch containing their father's 

wedding ring among other treasures. 

The girls playing out in Gigi's expansive backyard.  The kids had a ball running around just like their Dad's did when they were little.

all the way from Portland.

We must wrap things up now but hope to squeeze one more post in before the new year.  

2014 has been good to us - let the holiday's officially begin!
