Goodbye Summer | Hello Fall

Well summer just flew by and before we knew it the kids are back in school and Fall is officially here.  How the heck did that happen??  

We wrapped up summer with a couple of trips to our favorite cabin up in Parkdale and our very first camping trip as a family.  We feel so lucky to be able to spend time in such a beautiful spot thanks to Bryan & Claire.  Here are some snaps from our last days of summer, including some fun moments with our wonderful neighbors.

These two spent A LOT of time this summer being ninja turtle warriors and wrestling in the great outdoors.  Theo started each wrestling session with this HI-YA pose!

All agreed that Lost Lake has to be one of Oregon's prettiest landmarks.

Being up at the cabin in the summer was a real treat.  Lots of time playing out on the grass, lounging in the hammock, bouncing on the trampoline and chillin' in the hot tub.

Endless things to do when you're relaxed and on vacation.  

After spending a couple of nights at the cabin, we headed up to Lawrence Lake for our first real camping experience in an actual campground.  Since it went so well, we look forward to doing it again and again.

This kid always makes us laugh.  Especially when he refuses to turn around for the camera and tries to threaten us with his sword.

Gus etched the kid's names in charcoal on special rocks.  He was pretty happy with himself.

It's unanimous that this was one of the best summers we've spent as a family.  

The weather alone made it one for the record books and having the kids a little older meant we could do so much more together.  Already counting down the days until next Summer, but for now we'll just have to enjoy this beautiful Fall in Oregon.
