Two-riffic!

Two years ago today, Theo joined our family.  This little guy has given us so much in such a short period of time.  His motor is always on, the smiles are constant and he might just be our snuggliest one yet.  A bad day turns into a good one when you see this whirling dervish coming around the corner with his blond curls and his big grin. 
 


 
 
 


After only 730 days on Earth, Theo has mastered quite a few skills. His language has recently exploded onto the scene -- one particular word, TRUCK, has a hilarious pronunciation that sounds just like one of George Carlin's 7 words you can never say on television (use your imagination).  Some of his other favorite words are BEAU, GUS, OUTSIDE, and ROSCOE.  Oh and SUCKERS.  And EEEWWWWW when he sees something gross.

His athletic skills are coming along nicely.  While Thomas was hoping for another lefty in the family, it looks like Theo is going to bat and throw right-handed.

His people skills are off the charts. If Gus is the mayor of 19th Avenue, Theo is his deputy.  He's never met someone that he can't win over with his quick wit and boyish charm. 

We'd be remiss if we didn't mention Theo's current pop culture obsession, Elmo. I'm sure it's just a fad, but right now Elmo is the coolest cat in his universe. Don't try to change his mind.

It's also great to see that he's developed a love for books. Some of his favorites are Goodnight Moon, Dinosaur, Dinosaur and anything with animal photos.

You ask Gus and Beau and they'd say that Theo is the best thing to happen to this family since Steve Jobs invented the iPad. You ask Theo's parents, and you'll hear "Why the hell did we ever question
for a moment having a third kid?"

 
 

 
 
One of Theo's favorite spots is here in our bedroom, looking out the window for trucks and neighbor Bob.
