Back to School

 

It's been a huge month for our two biggest kids as they started a new school year -- and in a brand new school.  Gus and Beau are now students at The Madeline, our neighborhood Catholic school.  We decided to give a smaller, more intimate school environment (and God) a try and so far we're off to a great start!  Of course we had our camera and hand - here are some photos from the first couple of days of school.

 Can't believe our baby girl is now a big time KINDERGARTNER!

Sitting out on the school's front stoop.  On Beau's first day, she went to class for a 20 minute get-to-know-you session.  Clearly this teacher has been to the rodeo before and knows what she's doing!

Beau's first order of business was finding her cubby.  Luckily she passed that test with flying colors!

Little sister seeing Gus off to his classroom.  Pretty sure the clenched hands and fake smile meant he was just a tiny bit nervous.  But he is such a brave boy -- we didn't even know it till we saw these photos.

He didn't know we were still there, peeking through the window.  Luckily for him our favorite neighbor, Amelia, was sitting at his same table.

 

And this was his face when we picked him up.  When asked how it went, he said "AWESOME".

After their first day of school there was a school family picnic.  Such a great way to start out the new school year.  Here are some shots of the kiddos on their new school playground.

This is technically Beau's first full day of school.  She loves wearing the exact same outfit as Gus (minus the cardigan). 

Beau and the Kindergarten whisperer, Mrs. Schneider.  FACT:  These two people share the exact same birthday which automatically means they're AWESOME!!

We couldn't do a post without sharing a couple of photos of this cutie. 

His new favorite pastime is bouncing on the neighbor's trampoline!  This kid is happiest when he is in constant motion.

Don't worry, he got right back up and kept on bouncing...
