365 days ago today... Heather gave birth to our rootin' tootin' little Theo. As part of a family tradition, the above photo was taken after the first few moments of waking up as a 1 year old. He even decided to sleep in on the morning of his birthday. The kiddos couldn't contain their enthusiasm, so they piled into the bed to "help" him drink his bottle of milk.
This past Sunday, we celebrated his 1st birthday with family and friends. Gus and Beau woke up ready to party but would have to wait until the afternoon to unleash the fun. As always, Marlene brought her "A" game with regards to the birthday cake. It might just be her best yet!
Being the amazing parents that we are, this would be Theo's first foray into the wonderful world of sugar. Watch as he becomes one with the cupcake. It all starts with anticipation...
Next comes uncertainty, so he offers up the first bite to his big sister Beau.
Followed by Theo saying to Gus, "Dude, why have y'all been holding out on me? Must. Eat. All. Of. It. Now."
Theo completely amped on sugar cries out, "I love you guys!"
Concluding with the look of "If I eat another bite of cupcake, I think I'm going to hurl."
Beau doesn't get the memo and tries to feed Theo one more bite while Heather leans in for a photo op with her sweet little Theo.
