We are sad to say goodbye to what was considered an awesome summer by all. Even though it was cooler than average, it didn't stop our kiddos from having a great time -- especially at the pool! Both kids took lessons all summer long and we were amazed to see them grow from little timid tadpoles into brazen belugas (Gus) and strong, confident stingrays (Beau).

As we said goodbye to summer, we welcomed the change in routine as school started back up again. Gus entered the first grade with Miss Suh, and Beau headed back to pre-school to be in the blue class with the beloved Mrs. Hodge.
Gus posing for his annual first day of school picture on the porch.
And Beau reluctantly posing for her first day of school picture.
Luckily when we picked her up she looked more like she does here posing with Mrs. Hodge.
Here she is on another school day "painting" the stone wall with buckets of water (simple, yet genius idea by the way).
Meanwhile Theo hung out back at the house in a bucket.
There were simply too many cute pics of these three in the porch swing to post just one...not to mention it's almost impossible to get them all smiling in the same shot!

Ever since Theo came home from the hospital, Beau hasn't been able to keep her hands off her baby brother. Somehow I don't think they'll ever grow tired of each other.

October will be a fun month with our favorite holiday Halloween as well as a trip to Disneyland. The big kids have no idea what is about to happen to them with Mickey and Co.
