This past weekend, Megan (aka Mimi) came to town to meet her new nephew, Theo, but Beau decided that she'd keep Mimi all to herself. That was to be Beau's favorite birthday present followed closely by her new bike.
Just 15 minutes after "opening" her bike, we took off for the annual neighborhood St. Patrick's Day parade. This was her first time on a bike and big brother Gus was there to lend a hand.
Gus, Beau and some of our 19th Ave. buddies joined us in the rain to cheer on cub scouts, a junior high marching band, Irish wolfhounds, a fire truck, a high school constitutional club (wearing Ben Franklin attire) and riding lawnmowers. However, the thrown candy was by far the top draw.
Heather was Beau's very special guest for her preschool luncheon last week. The kiddos served pasta, cupcakes and lots of hugs.
While Beau was enjoying her birthday weekend, Theo was waking up and growing up bit by bit and even posed for our infamous "babe in a box" shot.
